The short version
Polder Watch is a single-player tower defence game. It does not collect, sell or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you do in the game stays on your device.
What is stored on your device
- Your progress: stars, florins, honours, board upgrades and almanac pages you have read.
- Your preferences: sound, music, haptics, appearance and reminder settings.
- The captain name you type in, and postcards the game prints after a defence.
- A captain portrait, only if you choose to take or pick one.
This information is saved in the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app removes it, and you can also clear it at any time with Settings → Reset all progress.
Camera and photos
If you tap the camera button on the Captain screen, the app asks for camera access so you can take a portrait. If you choose a picture instead, the system photo picker opens and the app receives only the single image you select. The portrait is kept on your device only.
If you tap Save to Photos on a postcard, the app asks for permission to add images to your photo library. It can only add pictures; it cannot read or browse your library.
Notifications
Tide reminders are optional and off by default. If you turn them on, the app schedules local notifications on your device, for example when the daily tide chest refills. No push service or server is involved and no notification data leaves your device.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party software development kits, advertising networks or analytics services.
Changes and contact
